Krautrack

No, its not  a slip up on the spelling, just to let you know that the NEW Krautrock LPs have been moved back into our main racks on the left hand side of the shop. We are making a determined effort to keep the rack full for all you Krautrockers. There are also some used Krautrock titles available instore. We are just having a rejig of positioning of certain genres over the next week or two.

SHINDIG and the GIANT

We are very happy to now be selling the latest issue of the SHINDIG MAGAZINE an absolute must for Psych fans but also caters for other genres. A very hip arty magazine which we are selling at 50p off RRP at just £4.45. I maybe be biased but I am hooked and will be nabbing a magazine for myself every other Month when it drops through the door of 28 New Street. The latest issue is No.29.
GENTLE GIANT albums Interview and Freehand arriving this week on vinyl, in fact Interview is here already. We hope to stock other of the earlier works of the band very soon.

Retro Cassettes

After several requests we will be bringing back Pre Recorded Cassette Tapes instore.Mainly rock orientated but all in excellent condition. Just like Vinyl the Tape format refuses to go away.They will be located second shelf down below CDs at the Counter end of shop.

New Vinyl arrivals

The latest highly acclaimed LP by DAVID BYRNE and ST.VINCENT. Plus THE BLACK KEYS rubber factory, SEASICK STEVE and the LEVEL DEVILS and a restock of BLUNDERBUS by JACK WHITE. Next week the epic new LP by TOYS.A good mix of new CDs also in the racks including LAETITIA SADIERS Silencio.

Coming soon in October are three releases. As numbers in our shop are limited we are taking reservations on a first come first served basis for these and future releases. Once they are sold out at source it is difficult to get hold of FDM at RRP prices so we strongly advise you get in touch with us if you have your eye on any of the 7 inch singles.

Shop open Sunday 23rd September

With Mold Festival hitting the Town next week we have decided to open on Sunday 23rd September to support the Town as many retailers will be opening all weekend. Our Sunday hours on the 23rd will be 11am till 3pm. We have opened in the past on the odd Sunday and although the jury is out on Sunday opening and we have no expectations for the day it seems only right that we should do our bit for the Town.
In the meantime we have had a few nice bits and pieces of used vinyl in, including the odd bit of Krautrock. This genre has proved very popular and we hope to sustain and hopefully expand this section over the coming Months. More LAST SHOP STANDING DVDs due in around 24th of this Month with more new vinyl arrivals which may be of interest very soon.

More Fair dates for next year

With just one more Record Fair left this year on Saturday October 27th in Mold, we are very happy to confirm three more dates for 2013. If you visit our Fairs page you can see the latest additios to our calendar. Even better is that we have been able to secure April 20th at our Mold venue, this is also Record Store Day. This years Record Store Day was amazing and we hope to top it next year, plans already underway to make it a day to remember.

From Denbigh to Mold

Denbigh now done and dusted for 2012, thanks to all who supported the event at the Town Hall. Next stop and indeed last stop of this year is Mold. We are back in the Daniel Owen Community Centre on Saturday October 27th for what we hope will be a fitting finale to our 2012 events. All stalls are already booked, in the meantime we hope to have all new dates for 2013 on the board very soon. Its back to the shop on Wednesday, a resumpation of our new regular hours Wednesday,Friday and Saturday EVERY week.

Record Fair and Last shop standing

Our next Record and CD Fair will be held at DENBIGH TOWN HALL this  Saturday September 8th. 32 tables booked should be a great event.
Also THE LAST SHOP STANDING DVD has now arrived ahead of release next Monday. We only have limited stock, so pop in or let me know if you want this very special DVD.

Krautrock on hold

Just to let you know that the expected arrival of those CAN,GURU GURU and KRAFTWERK has been delayed. We hope that they will be instore soon but expect it to be a couple of weeks. Will keep you informed.

Krautrockers

This week sees the release of 3 live CAN abums plus a KRAFTWERK and GURU GURU releases. All on vinyl and very limited. We hope to have all these releases instore as early as Wednesday. In addition the LAST SHOP STANDING DVD is due in at end of the week ahead of  next Mondays release date. On top of that a few more MUSIC ON VINYL due in and some very nice used vinyl, everything from THE FALL to THE ALLMAN BROTHERS.
