Kscope...the pleasure is ours
From 1st August we will officially be an Independent dealership outlet for Kscope.
This will enable us to not only stock every Kscope release but also exclusive
releases only available through Independent stores. Alongside this we will
get a tag for Kscope Ads in the likes of Classic Rock Prog, Mojo,Record Collector etc..
The first release out for us will be the new Blackfield IV album which is released
on the 26th August.Previous Kscope releases will be stocked up ahead of this date.
As some will know we have been stocking Kscope since we opened in 2009, so it is
a great honour to be asked by the label to build on what we started over 4 years ago.

Cassette Store Day 2013
Yes, thats right we are getting information on an event for Indie stores celebrating the humble and much maligned Cassette. A recent resurgence in Analogue interest has undoubtedly been the catalyst for this. The International CASSETTE STORE DAY is planned for September 7th. Details are all abit sketchy at the moment but will keep you updated with details as we get them, for now here is some info...
The project's leaders are a trio of labels that are already in the habit of releasing new music on cassette: Sexbeat, Kissability and Suplex Cassettes. F**ked Up and Fair Ohs are among the bands who will issue special Cassette Day recordings, and partners like 4AD, Bella Union, Wichita, Kanine and Domino have vowed to reissue classic records that never made it to magnetic tape. These will include LPs by the Flaming Lips, Deerhunter, At the Drive-In and the Pastels.
All sounds very interesting....

Two crackers added!
BEVIS FROND-WHITE NUMBERS LP the logical successor to 2011's 'The Leaving Of London'
Heavy guitars, gentle acoustic balladry, short and sharp punk, some great psych/pop, and even a smattering of prog organ.
BITCHIN BAJAS-BITCHITRONICS LP and MUSIC CASSETTE
In keeping with the concept of catching air with tape, ‘Bitchitronics’ is the first Bitchin Bajas record made as a trio, blending the blowing of flute into the mix of electric keys and posthuman tones and loops of tape atop other loops of tape, with the final result coming to us with all the ebbing and flowing of a breeze.

Death Waltz Recording Co.
We now stock....
DEATH WALTZ Recording Co.
DEATH WALTZ Recording Co.
Founded by Record Store Day UK coordinator and music industry
veteran Spencer Hickman in 2011, Death Waltz Recording Company is a
boutique soundtrack label releasing vinyl, CD & digital.
Working closely alongside legendary composers and directors such as John Carpenter, Richard Kelly, Alan Howarth and Fabio Frizzi to deliver brand new definitive audio re-masters and sleeve notes, Death Waltz also commissions artwork from acclaimed artists including Dinos Chapman, Jay Shaw, Graham Humphreys & Candice Tripp to create exclusive artwork for each project. With its careful attention to detail, it has quickly established itself as the premier soundtrack label in cult films.
Each release is pressed on 180g coloured vinyl and comes with posters and prints of the artwork, housed in heavyweight tip-on (casebound) jackets.
Having been featured in magazines such as Spin, Mojo, Dazed & Confused, Vice & Wire magazine, its wide reach belies the preconceived notion that soundtrack labels are just for a niche audience, and with more titles being added all the time to its already impressive catalogue it has become the go-to company for composers and filmmakers alike who want their work released in the highest quality packages available.
